About Us

LaShantinette Whitaker is the founder of Accounted For Bookkeeping and Tax Service. She is an accomplished accountant, tax professional, coach, mentor, teacher and trainer.  Her diversified accounting and tax experience of over 20 years has included positions with a private CPA firm, public school system, two multinational corporations, and a tax attorney. 

LaShantinette has a passion for helping people achieve their goals. She works hard to maintain integrity and give the best guidance possible for all of her clients. She is very personable, therefore, clients are happy to trust her with finances, bookkeeping and tax return preparation. 

LaShantinette has a B.S degree in Accounting from Wayne State University. Her knowledge of accounting and financial reporting for small businesses gives her  an advantage when preparing and giving advice to small businesses on their tax situation. LaShantinette has held several executive management positions. Her background includes positions such as Assistant Controller, Controller, Director of Finance and Cost Accounting Manager and COO. She is currently employed with a CPA firm located in Southfield, MI.

LaShantinette continues to expand her knowledge each year by attending training classes offered by the IRS and constantly reviewing new tax codes to understand how to better serve her clients.

LaShantinette is the oldest of 12 children and has a vibrant personality. She is a shoe lover and her hobbies include shopping, cooking and reading.
